William H McCormick
William H McCormick of Levittown, passed away Friday, Jan. 2, 2015, at Statesman Nursing Center. He was 84.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a longtime resident of Levittown. He was employed by the Philadelphia Gas Works for many years and after retiring, he then was employed by Syncor in Bristol and was recently a crossing guard for the Bristol Township Schools. He was an Army veteran serving during the Korean War. He also coached girls softball in Bristol Township for many years. He was a Life Member of the Levittown Fire Co. No. 2 Station 13, where he was the oldest living charter member.
Husband of the late Carol M. McCormick, he is survived by four children, Donna (Nolte) Braksator of Newark, Del., William J. McCormick (Linda) of West Chester, Pa., Jeff McCormick of Somerdale, N.J. and Kelly Benton (John) of Levittown; seven grandchildren, Matthew, Jenny, Michael, Ashley, Bronson, Steve and Taylor; five great grandchildren, Addison, Colin, Brooklyn, Camden and Oliver, along with many nieces, nephews, friends, neighbors and his firefighting brothers and sisters.
Family and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 7, at the Molden Funeral Chapel Inc., 133 Otter St. Bristol. His service will immediately follow at 8:30 p.m. His interment, with Military Honors will be held 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 9, at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 835 Highland Rd., Newtown.
